What is a verrucae?
Often difficult to get rid of a verrucae is a viral skin infection caused by the Human papilloma virus which rely's on your immune system to recognise, react and destroy it. Many will disappear naturally as this process happens however if your immune system does not respond to the virus you can be left with a persistent painful verrucae. Hard skin frequently builds up over the area causing it not only to be unsightly but if over a pressure area can cause considerable pain if left untreated.
Infected verrucae tissue can exist several millimetres below the surface. Swift delivers a precise highly controlled energy dose. As microwaves travel into the tissue water molecules begin colliding and creating localized heat energy quickly destroying infected tissue within a predetermined depth. |
You could be verrucae free in six months for £300 over 85% success rate.

Finally an effective treatment for Stubborn Verruca | Breakthrough in Verruca Treatment
First Treatment
During your first treatment, we may examine and prepare the surface slightly, before applying 3-5 very short treatments with Swift (usually 2 seconds in duration). This quickly raises the temperature within the skin, without breaking the surface – meaning no blisters, no padding, and no scarring. It is not uncommon for patients to feel a sharp sensation, similar to an injection, but unlike most treatments for verruca, pain felt during the treatment quickly subsides. Fourth Treatment (for extremely stubborn Verruca)
We will usually leave a gap of 12 weeks for the body to heal and cycle through the immune response. You should feel little to no pain from the verruca at this stage, and your normal skin should be returning where the verruca was. |
Second Treatment
Your second treatment for Swift will usually occur 3-4 weeks later. Some patients will see black spots appear beneath the surface of the skin after the 1st treatment, but the size may remain the same. The Swift treatment works by reducing the depth, rather than the width. We will provide advice on what to expect - not much different than your first treatment. Third Treatment Your third appointment will usually be your last treatment appointment, although we will provide specific advice based on your individual condition. In most cases this will be your final treatment. The key to effectively treating verruca is to trigger the body’s own immune response, rather than simply destroying the infected tissue.
Independent clinical research has shown that microwave verruca treatment with Swift activates immune signalling pathways in the body, alerting the immune system to the presence of the verruca and clearing the infected tissue. |
